The P3 Community of Practice (CoP) is a collaborative space where teen pregnancy prevention and adolescent health practitioners from across the state can go to connect with their peers, share information, resources and best practices, get the latest information on new innovations in the field, find training opportunities and take advantage of opportunities to participate in live events.
We envision the P3 Community of Practice to be a collaborative space that will allow adolescent health practitioners from across the state of Georgia to connect with one another and align their work for a common purpose. An active CoP will elevate the practice of adolescent health promotion by increasing the capacity of youth serving providers to implement the most impactful, cost-effective strategies for promoting adolescent health in schools and communities in Georgia. We envision our collective efforts contributing to a future in which the young people in our state gain the knowledge and skills they need to be healthy, productive, and successful members of our community.
The mission of the P3 Community of Practice on Adolescent Health is to provide practitioners with a platform for sharing resources, best practices, standards, successes and lessons learned. We will do this by:
- Face-to-face events (i.e. conferences, trainings, regional meetings/roundtables)
- Live on-line events
- A persistent digital presence and online repository of information (i.e. website, social media, listserv and training /events calendar)
The Community of Practice will enhance communication, coordination and collaboration among youth serving providers in Georgia to increase the quality and impact of adolescent health promotion activities in the most cost-effective manner.
